Require quality installation?

What happens next?

  • Once your order has been processed, a free of charge detailed survey including any special instructions will be carried out by either your local Account Manager, or an Engineer depending on the complexity of your required installation.

  • We pride ourselves on the quality and professionalism of our installation process.

  • Our operations team will then contact you to arrange a convenient time for your hygiene services to be installed.

  • On the day of installation our engineer will report to site and the named contact of reference. They will then go through the services that they are installing, and advise of any drilling etc that will need to take place.

  • Once the installation is complete, our engineer will invite the client to inspect the washroom products that they have installed, and then request a signature on their handheld device.

  • Your Account Manager will then make contact with you to ensure your complete satisfaction.

  • Your next visit from Greenworks Washrooms will be by your dedicated Service Technician at the agreed schedule.

Tailored Service?

A regular professional washroom service is vital to the maintenance of a clean, hygienic and welcoming washroom.

Once we have tailored a service schedule to suit your business requirements you can have peace of mind that your washrooms will be serviced to an agreed schedule by using the most up to date routing system, and maintained appropriately for your needs.

You will receive regular visits from your own dedicated, uniformed Service Technician who has been fully trained on the servicing and refilling of all our products.

At the end of each scheduled visit, you will be asked by your technician if you are happy with the service. If so you will then be asked to sign the engineers tablet and a proof of service, along with your waste transfer note (if applicable) will be automatically sent directly to your email.

We are continually committed to investing in new procedures and technology where these can add value for our customers.

OUR GREEN VISION

Here at Greenworks, we work with a number of disposal agents to ensure that we have the resources in place to use the very latest technology whilst also reducing “unnecessary waste miles”  Our agents currently recycle over £1 million worth of energy each year.

We are also currently utilising a composting method that is currently one of a kind in the UK. The waste is shredded and mixed with small amounts of green waste (Grass/cuttings etc). This then creates a digestive system that creates its own heat and works away the bacteria within the system. The process end result is 20% compost and 80% RDF this is then used to power ‘power generation plants’.

The Toilet Twinning Charity we work with

Without proper toilets and clean water, people are trapped in a vicious cycle:

  • They’re likely to become sick through sanitation-related diseases
  • Children often miss school, because they are sick or because they’re busy collecting water
  • Girls often drop out of school when they start their periods if there are no toilets or changing rooms
  • Water and sanitation projects enable families to build a toilet, have access to clean water, and to learn about handwashing and other hygiene principles
  • Dignity is restored when the whole family can use a private, hygienic toilet at their home and no longer have to squat in the bush

To date, 64,187 toilets have been built in programmes that Toilet Twinning has helped support

COVID 19 Guidance and Support on Returning to Work

The government website has been set up to offer guidance to help employers and employees understand how to work safely during the coronavirus pandemic.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-covid-19/offices-factories-and-labs

To help everyone keep good hygiene through the working day.

Steps that will be needed:

  • Providing hand sanitiser in multiple locations in addition to washrooms.
  • Providing more waste facilities and more frequent rubbish collection.

  • Providing hand drying facilities – either paper towels or electrical driers.

To develop cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures, you should increase the frequency of handwashing and surface cleaning by:

  • Encouraging people to follow the guidance on hand washing and hygiene

  • Providing hand sanitiser around the workplace, in addition to washrooms.

  • Frequently cleaning and disinfecting objects and surfaces that are touched regularly.
  • Providing hand drying facilities – either paper towels or electrical dryers.

We are committed to working with you to achieve maximum protection for both your clients and colleagues and we can offer a wide range of products and services for your “Return to Work Essentials”.

Testimonials

“We have been using Greenworks washroom services for a year now and they have delivered nothing but a fast, reliable and professional service. The service man is the same every week, is always very cheery and knows our site well. In his absence we are always informed of his substitute and therefore have a reliable and consistent service. Contact with our rep is fantastic and she continues to make sure that we are receiving everything that we need. All the staff at the office are friendly, with a good telephone manner and overall we would highly recommend Greenworks services.”

Izabelle Wilkinson Smith, Assistant Manager

“We have used Greenworks since October 2010, for water management for the gents toilets, sharps bins, medical bins and lady care bins. The presales were informative and polite and kept us up to date right up until the installation. The installation itself was well planned, and all workmen were professional, polite and kept any mess to a minimum which they cleaned up when finished. The sales rep did not stop contact after the installation; she has made regular visits since. Any issues are dealt with quickly and without fuss. The services are carried out on time, and all the staff are professionals, polite and will go the extra mile to help, highly recommended.”

Andy Richmond, Building Services Team Leader

“Since working with Greenworks the service levels we have received have been excellent. When we contact the office the staff are cheerful and helpful, and always respond to queries and efficiently. We have the same service person each time we are serviced, as requested and this is always on the correct day. We would not hesitate to recommend Greenworks to anyone.”

Steve Langley, Site Services and Facilities Manager

“It’s been a couple of months now that we are in receipt of your ‘washroom service’ and I would like to send you some feedback. I am on site on Monday mornings when Glen arrives to service the sani bins, he signs in at reception promptly and is always polite and interested to talk to the reception staff. Glen always ensures the bins are cleaned and serviced to a very high standard and I never have to go around after he’s serviced to ‘re-arrange’ the toilets like I had to with our previous supplier. Glen is courteous to our delegates and discrete whilst working. He is also very aware of his surroundings and therefore doesn’t need to be taken around the site to collect waste.”

“I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to Glen for his service he provides and I look forward to continuing with the service for many more months to come. Thank you Leah for all your hard work that you did to get our account up and running, and of course your continuing support and upkeep. I am delighted by the service Greenworks Solutions provide.”

Samantha Baxendale

“I would like to put on record after three visits to our company headquarters in recent months, your employee Mr. Ryan Dey, is a credit to your company. He is polite, well-mannered and courteous plus, he goes about his work very professionally. I don’t need to add anymore, it says it all about this young man!!!”

Gerry Byrne, Purchasing & Procurement

“I would just like to give you some feedback on the gentleman who came to fit our washroom items today he was absolutely lovely, professional and informative. It was so nice for once to have service with a smile and it felt for once that the customer came first.”

What You Need to Know About The Law!

The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992

These regulations cover the provision of the following washrooms facilities:

Regulations 21

” in the case of water closets used by women, suitable means should be provided for the disposal of sanitary dressings”.

“… means should be taken to prevent odours from lingering in and from entering other rooms”

“… means include soap or other suitable means of cleaning”

“… means include … suitable means of drying”

Environmental Protection Act 1990

The Environmental Protection Act 1990 places a legal “duty of care” upon companies to ensure that all waste produced at their premises is correctly managed right up to the point of final disposal.

The Water Industries Act 1991

“No item should be flushed that could cause a blockage within a sewer or a drain”

Water By-Law 83

This states that every pipe that supplies water to flushing system providing water to a trough or urinal should be fitted with

“a shut-off device controlled by a time switch”

OR

“some other equally effective automatic device for regulating the periods when the cistern … may fill”

Male Healthcare – Regulations

Laws protecting against disabilities and discrimination are on the rise, leaving many employers in new territory. Incontinence is on the rise, and it’s an issue facing both men and women. While once easily manageable at home, older workers are finding it to be an increasingly embarrassing and real problem.

Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992

“Suitable and sufficient sanitary conveniences shall be provided at readily accessible places”.

Equality Act 2010

Employers must also consider making any ‘reasonable adjustments’ needed in order to enable people suffering from incontinence to work. Many people with bladder and bowel problems are covered by the Act.

Greenworks Washrooms are pleased to provide this information and advise you on the provision of suitable facilities to help you to ensure that your premises comply with these requirements. However this information highlights only certain specific areas and you should consult the relevant legislation in full to identify your full responsibilities.

Regulations and laws change frequently and Greenworks Washrooms cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions in this information.

What does it mean?

The Waste Hierarchy is based on the principle that it is better to not to create waste in the first place. It ranks the options for managing waste according to what is best for the environment.
It gives top priority to preventing waste from the outset but when waste is created, it gives priority to preparing it for re-use, then recycling, then recovery and last of all disposal.

  • reduce
  • reuse
  • recycle
  • incineration with energy recovery
  • incineration
  • landfill

Who does this effect?

Any business or organisation that imports or produces, collects, transports, recovers or disposes of waste, or who operate as dealers and brokers, must take all reasonable measures to apply the waste hierarchy when the waste is transferred.

What does this mean for your business?

A benefit to implementing the principles of the Waste Hierarchy is that is can help your business to become more cost effective:

  • Plan how you will apply the waste hierarchy
  • Monitor your performance regularly
  • Know what waste you are producing, and make efforts to produce less, sort and segregate the waste you do produce to help you or others recover value from it

Changes to waste transfer and consignment notes

From 28 September 2011 transfer notes and hazardous waste consignment notes, will contain a declaration that the waste hierarchy has been considered in deciding the most appropriate waste management option for that waste.
